The Inline Skating Question:
A Video Review of Three Films

Historians trace the genesis of the modern day inline skate to the development of its ancestor the ice skate 5000 years ago. While ancient ice skaters may have dreamed of skating beyond their frozen lakes onto dry-land, has this act been fulfilled by the inline skate as presumed or has something else taken place? With this question in mind, we take a brief look at three inline skating films: Barely Dead (2006), Brink! (1998), and Prayer of the Rollerboys (1990).
